75K limit totalfor some cards you can request a credit limit thru their app. this works for apple card and I've done it with costco citibank visa.
for others, I had to call for an increase. both of my BOA credit cards were increased that way.
my costco citibank is only 5k
apple card 14k
boa visa 21k
boa mastercard 34K
It doesn't hurt especially if they don't have annual fees. Plus with an increase in overall limit and thus decrease in utilization, why not?toll thread but i can't figure out why people be having so many CCs. i stick with two main ones and a backup that doesn't leave the house, i just have it paying subscriptions like hulu and spotify. my main two are a cash back/rewards card and a travel rewards, using them frequently helps me rack up perks/rewards faster vs spreading purchases across 5/6/7 cards
for the reason i stated - why spread 10k of purchases across 6 cards when i can use two and hit point/reward milestones faster? that's also more accounts sitting vulnerable to fraud/hacks/etc. to the limit piece i guess, seems more prudent to get $30k on one card vs 5k on six cards, but i realize not everyone is gonna get a straight up $30k limitIt doesn't hurt especially if they don't have annual fees. 75K limit total
Why?
Utilization is one of biggest things affecting your score, probably 2nd behind payment history. Its hard as fukk to use your buying power when your limit is 1k and you tryna stay under 30% at anyone time, wtf can you buy with that. I know people who have bought property and/or finance rehab then rent and refi out of it quickly because of having much higher limits. As long as you are not being dumb with it you can use to your advantage but most likely if you reach that point you have some built in discipline in first place.75K limit total

I won’t add my Amex plat and gold because I don’t have a set limit on them.. I purchased by 09 vette ZR1 on my plat bout 5 yrs back for $45k one time and had no issues so I’m assuming now I have about 100k in spending power just off that card alone.. of course I ain’t dumb enough to go spend that amount..
As for my master and visa
Citi bank is 15k
Discover. 25k
Chase 50k
Credit union 25k
I bushed BOA bout 10 years ago fukk em
Yeah I already had the cash on hand but it would’ve been too much of a hassle doing a wire transfer or bank check… Luckily I copped from CarMax and they waved the credit card fee they would had to pay since I bought a warranty from them.. give and take kinda thingI'd buy a car on a credit card just for the cash back if I had the cash on hand to pay for the purchase.
