I have a question about ADOS, critical race theory, and reparations

Are you ok with history being erased for a check?

Say the government decided to give reparations. Whatever number you think is fair. That's not important. My question is if they gave reparations but the only stipulation is that African American history will not be taught, would you accept the check? Basically changing the history books on slavery.

I know they're trying to erase slavery and shut down critical race theory but would you be ok with that if they cut the check?

I don't really get the question because the whole topic of reparations is centered around African American/American history.

:patrice:
That's the point. Would you trade your history for a check. I feel like the question isnt as confusing as y'all are making it

I'm non-ADOS so its not my place to say.

But thats such a funny stipulation :dead:

The history of America is connected to other nations so its gonna be hard to erase the history.

How would you erase the slave trade? How would you erase the civil rights era?

Thats like France erasing the colonial era & the French revolution.

Yea, this is what I'm saying. How are you going to give reparations and then not teach about how it came to be? ADOS history plays a big part in how America was shaped, built and how slavery made the economy boom.

I know what OP is asking, but logically, you can't talk about the beginning of America without the slave trade, imo.

The same way people get canceled and they take all their stuff isn't sold anymore.

Basically like a form of hush money. You can teach your own kids but it won't be in schools, no black history month, no national black holiday or days of observance. Basically we paid you, now we're even so slavery doesn't need to be discussed publicly

shyt they already stopped it. We were “migrant workers” now as the text books call us.
That's the type of thing I mean. Of course they can't erase slavery but they kind of rebrand it to like "migrant workers" and not slaves.
