I have a question about Team USA Olympic Basketball Team

Why do they have to take the all stars from the NBA to play sub par teenagers and college players of other countries? Every other sport in the olympics have players that are much younger and not the elite world players..I dont think America should have bragging rights if they win.

I dont see anything wrong with having a limit on the amount of pro's but before, olympics werent about putting your elite professionals on the team, its putting young talent out there to represent your nation.

Nah bro, many sports..look at soccer, they Euro's just finished, you are not going to see the same Euro squads playing in olympics you will see a few of the national team players and a team full of younger 18-22 year olds that did not represent the country..

what? More like America has too much pride to lose? I read a big article on this yesterday when I was curious about this same question...They really pushed for the rule changes in the 80s when they couldnt win and thats when they got the first Team USA all star team..Read numerous articles, I just wanted to hear what you all had to say
