I've never said I have to ask my wife first. I just hit hit the Cigar Bar last minute with skme of my coworkers. I didn't ask I just told her I was going. Didn't ask for permission but I did tell her where I was gonna be as a courtesy. We have to do that because we have 2 young kids and have to make sure somebody is in line to get them. But I feel the OP, I never had to ask shyt.....But she does ask me.

I agree OP, my dad been married over 20 years & I never heard him say that shyt. He might notify my mom when he will do something but he wont ask for permissiom. He pays for everything and does what he wants.
