That's because black folks are a spiritual people. I don't care if it's Christianity, Islam, traditional or ancient African religion...there is a foundation of spirituality in the majority of us.
How can you blame a Christian black woman for not not giving you a chance? I would immediately dismiss an atheist woman from any serious consideration of a relationship as well.
Spirituality is not unique to black folks religion exists throughout the world for a reason humans have always tried to justify existence and instill a moral code through religion and religions spread through conquest and colonialism.
Me personally I grew up going to church on Sundays and on some weekdays with my moms until I grew out of it. I took the moral lessons but over time I stopped giving a fukk. I don’t care if it’s real or not I know I believe in
myself and I try to be a good person. I told my last I didn’t really care for religion deep into our relationship and she was a practicing Christian. I told her I didn’t mind visiting church every week and I liked the communal aspect of church and the moral lessons.
As a Christian you not even supposed to be judging others if someone is a good person you should try to understand their beliefs because there’s a hell of a lot of reasons to not subscribe to religion or things that could make someone lose their faith nowadays.
My post was geared towards posters saying these women don’t practice like that so it’s all good. Yeah, they don’t but most of them aren’t going to feel comfortable with a man telling them they’re an atheist or agnostic or whatever. Even the ones that hardly go to church, don’t know shyt about the Bible but got some cherry-picked quote tatted, still have “faith” and are “spiritual” and attribute all good in their life to god.
