aqualad's whole leadership arc with manta relied on meg's dynamic
artemis half-in half out only worked because meg turned into the anchor - the pivot after the 'simulation' ep changed that whole dynamic
superboy's development relied on hers. and superboy probably has some of the best development in the whole DCAU
acted as the grounding element between nightwing/zatanna and nightwing/wally

like she's a grating hypocritical bytch some of the time but like... it *always* pushes a theme or plot. its a great character
