Frank Ocean ruined this song,hook coulda been great with sumbody else singin it...Jay killed it though,he killed all the deep songs,it wuz the flossing songs that came up short to me...maybe its time for Jay to really rap like Common Sense

I feel the same way about Timberlake singing the hook on Holy Grail, would have preferred Chris Brown or Rihanna sung the hook, considering the drama they have in real life would have made the song doper, Timberlake was just corny on Holy Grail

What exactly have you brought to this discussion besides asking people to explain a line that you have refused to view beyond face value and asking the same question repeatedly?

Anyway, I'll take a break from arguing about album sales to further bring the insight you've failed to attempt. The tux is only white to present a contrast or dichotomy and you cant get as contrasting as black and white. The real symbolism of the suit is social and class based. He's succesful. He's accomplished. He deserves to be where he is as much as any of these other people do. It's the new money old money dynamic that Jay spits about the whole album. He hopes that what he has earned through hard work and dedication will be respected as opposed to him being looked down upon from a socioeconomic viewpoint due to his skin color. He doesn't think his black skin should or does dirty his white tux (symbol of his high class standing) but he realizes that in the minds of many of these old money, old world people around him at the Basquiat show it very well might. And if so...well fukk it Cats are way too caught up in the color of the tux as opposed to it's symbolism.

There I gave you two arguments for the line itself. Sarcasm and a very figurative translation.
