I'm actually thinking about copping one when I start school again

Almost pulled the trigger a couple days ago

It's definitely worth it, especially if you do any type of multimedia work

Video editing, music, or even photoshop work. Just editing huge landscapes or photos on that screen is :gladbron:

That fukkin IMac don't even got the power to push that 5K like it should. Lol u on here tryna shyt on PC heads but if we buy a 5K monitor we will actually be able to put some legitimate use to the shyt.

What are you goals in having this device?
Honestly most of my work is music related. It's strong enough to power everything, and the screen real estate allows me to see all my tracks and plugins when I'm mixing and tweaking.

I would probably just use it for school and music. But debating on that or just getting a MacBook Air and connecting my other Mac to a television and using it as a desktop

I used my MacBook Pro connected to a 22" monitor for like 3 years and it worked great
It's a great option if it's your only comp.
I'm still using mine for djing

Ssd and a secondary large drive(removed cd) plus 16 gigs of ram was great.
But had to upgrade cuz cpu wasn't strong enough for some larger songs(20-30 tracks almost all with plugins, effects or vests) I was working with.
