I Just Feel Like Something Is Missing In My Life (I Won't Feel Whole Until I Get A College Degree)

Well, most of you know my story I graduated from high-school in 2013 with high honors. Then, my moms got sick a week later I went to college, but didn't follow through. However, I did get a certificate saying I had grade satisfactory Now, I have a job that I really feel disatisfied at. At this time, I want to get into trades, but don't know what. Plus, I want to go back to college to get a degree in History I just won't feel whole until I go back to college Man, I miss volunteering and feeding the homeless. That was my life. Don't get me wrong I'm not a suicide level, but I just feel useless without that degree and doing things. I could just stay this way and settle for a chick doing nothing However, I want better for myself. I knew that I had "IT" when I had my community college professor shake my hand on the last day of class. The guy doesn't just do that with anyone Passed his class with a C+.


P.S. after high-school I just didn't have that support that I needed. Anyway, I did think about doing Real Estate as a trade (selling homes).

I don't want to be a teacher I want to use it for others things. Also, I owe 10k back, so I don't want to get in more debt.

This semester has already started so scratch this semester and shoot to start in the summer unless your school runs on quarters. Mentally prepare to start going to school again. In the meantime, stack your bread and visit your nearest community college to become more informed. Sit down with an advisor and tell them your story and what you want to do.

Don't go to college unless you can find someone else to foot the bill. Apply for every scholarship you come across. Get a basic job at an energy company let them pay for your certs. What ever you do, don't get caught up in this student loan scam

I'm not breh that's why I'm still holding out. 10K is enough for me to come out of. Not looking to get into more debt. I'm trying to find ways to get scholarships. In the mean time I might get a Math tutor.

I went to Uni in the evening part-time while doing a full-time job in my chosen field. This paid off so much better then my friends who went full-time to Uni.

By the time I finished my degree I was upper management level in a very competitive field .

Read up on study skills => Go to community college and get a 4.0 => Transfer to an Ivy League School => Profit

Also look out of the box, maybe get a job in your chosen field and get them to pay for part-time uni....

College isn't all that it's cracked up to be. This is coming from a chemical engineering student as well.
But if you really want to do it. Just be financially smart about it.
