The retina display is the only thing on there that makes this out of reach. And that level of pixel density on a 15.6" monitor is not worth 2k, imo. Edit: The other end of the spectrum is that most windows PCs come with a 1366x768 display, which imo is complete and utter trash. I mean who the hell decided that should be the standard display anyway?

Hell I bought a Lenovo last year with 20% faster processor, 50% more ram, SSD, and a discrete graphics card for like $800. It's not made of metal tho, so I guess it doesn't dissipate heat as well as yours .

Its still runs a buggy ass OS thats not united with the hardware, uses third party features just to accomplish basic shyt like...running drivers ...and lacks build quality.

Yea, I don't know what any of this means. I haven't had to manually download drivers since Windows 98. Hell, plug and play is part of the BIOS nowadays. You're living in Windows 3.1 times, breh. Maybe you were doing it wrong? I dunno, but things like drivers aren't a problem for me.

As far as build quality, . Dudes in here acting like Windows laptops just falling apart at the seams, keys popping off, and shyt. The only thing on here that's not premium is the trackpad. The trackpad is gaaaaaaaarrrrrbaaaaaggggeeeee but I use a mouse anyway so it's irrelevant to me.

I used to think like this at one time. Until I started using a macbook.

Significantly better than the PCs I used. Admittedly, I've never used a PC in the price range of a MAc so that can factor into things. But Macs hold their value well. A 700 PC, you're replacing in 3 years. A refurbishedmac might cost you 1000-1200 [maybe even less] and 3 years you won't need to replace it and if you did want to upgrade, you could resell easily for 600-700
