I just realized that there are no black R&B groups anymore.

O
I know the reason for female groups... it's the money these companies don't want to invest in from marketing, clothing, hair, just to see only 300,000 in sales

in 2018 you have to market a female group in a sexual, nasty, ratchet way on some porno shyt.. opposite of the en vogues and Swv's with class

no men groups cause nikkas are all about self and nikkas not looking to split say a million dollars or even if they make that cause of 360 deals

Used to want to be in SWV back in the day :wow:

And too chiefs and not enough Indians.

Beyoncé ruined destinys child
B2k imploded
Immature, Dru Hill, jagged edge, 112 and etc are to old for the newbies

Partially caused by the post segregation era. In reality kids are told too see diversity, but that often means a mixed group with preferably more white or exotic/mixed members than black. Or an all white groups singing black music. Reminds on the fifty when the racism was explicit. Now they tell “this is what is selling” :stopitslime:

See Justin Timberlake, Adele, and Robin Thicke who get to transcend music genres, while singers Ty Dolla Sign and even Miguel’s bytchass are stuck in one category cause their complexions.

KING

We Are KING was one of my favorite albums of 2016. It was nominated for a grammy too. I love their melodies and harmonies. Like dreamy R&B/Soul.

Clear they aren’t being marketed right. That’s a throwback to the old school feel good music. It should target that audience and the younger generation that grew listening to in their parents homes.
