Haven't had a desire to ever hear that album again

Ngl, I feel that way about all his albums.

That's how I feel. Went through it once just to see what everyone's talking about and never again.

Good album but GKMC and Section80 are better. Only song I’ve listened to since it’s release was the first single, and the second half of “I”. Haven’t gone back to it at all.

GKMC is his best followed by Section 80

TPAB is def overhyped esp by all bvb the cac Pitchfork/VICE reviewers. TPAB is good but it's not a cohesive album like gkmc....hes not really saying anything deep either. Ppl act like this was THE album on the black experience when in reality he spits some bs "what about black on black crime" shyt. I like that he experimented sonically but the overall project is kinda disjointed and he got away from having sharp tight raps like the previous two.

And that Pac shyt was corny

Production was A1, his rapping/pen game was :ld:

Where is the "sing about me" on this album?

Where is the Money Trees? Where is the Art of Peer Pressure? Where is the FEAR? Where is the Ronald Reagan Era? Where is the Kush and Corinthians?

There's not a single song off this album that would go on a real Kendrick fan's Greatest Hits but these Interscope flunkies are hellbent on making it his best album :pachaha:

You have no way of demonstrating this. It's just your opinion. Damn is still on the Billboard 200 list, over three years after release. Clearly someone is still bumping it.

There are a number of older albums on the Billboard 200 list that I am sure you don't consider masterpieces so I am not sure what point this is supposed to make. And yea I am sure his stans are still bumping it, that is the entire point. Not sure why people can't just admit when they are a stan f an artist, nothing to be shamed about.

And here comes the goal post moving. We aren’t talking about master pieces. We’re talking about whether people are still listening to or bumping an album. The Billboard chart measures music consumption - what are people listening to, what are people streaming. It is the best measure for whether something “came and went” or nah. The album is still being streamed heavily, three years later. You said no one was bumping the album. Now you’re saying only fans are bumping it. Yet the album is still charting that high after three years tells me people in general are listening.

Stop saying dumb shyt you can’t back up. Once again, your statement was opinion. Mine was facts. The end.

The point of this thread was the album should be considered a masterpiece. Its the entire reason this thread was created. :hhh:

And again the point was his album still appearing on the chart doesn't really mean much of anything when you look at all the other albums that exist on the chart especially those listed before it. Heavily streamed is conjecture, and based on the chart people still listen to GKMC more than DAMN anyway. Which jibes with most considering it a better album and Kdot projects getting worse with each release. And I am a fan of Kendrick, but I think TPAB and DAMN were both underwhelming for an artist of his caliber.
