It is very hard to watch, but I got some of my friends to watch it and some questions came up that I never thought about like:
Why did the Africans help enslave their fellow Africans for so long?
Why were they so trusting of the Europeans?
Why did the slaves continue to procreate (aside from the rapes) and bring children into slavery?
Did the Europeans try to enslave the Native Americans? Why or why not?
Why didn't the first slaves off of the boat fight to the death?
thoughts....
Slavery was a form of servitude amongst Africans as slaves were able to buy their freedom, marry etc.. It was when the Arab and Europeans came when it became in humane. You have to remember their was no race concept that was created recently amongst the Arabs and Europeans. African.
They were because they thought they has a solid trade partner as the African been trading with Japs, Chinese, Americas for centuries before. It was when they realize what they were doing with their people but it was too late. There is documents from African kings and chiefs discussing this betrayal.
Lmao dumb question if you ask me while you alive you will still make the best out of the situation
Europeans did try to enslave Indians and if it was successful some Africans wouldn't been in Americas.
I don't believe that all Africans were bought on boats because it is insanely impossible if you add the math up. I believe Africans were here and had civilizations here.
