I don't work. I do HVAC back home and was able to save $20k. Single and childless ad relatively debt-free so it was easier, if you will. I've gained at least 10 lbs since arriving here to Ghana. Nothing to be proud of just stating a fact. I'm currently at "hotel" @ lil less than $10/night and to answer
@Mr Rager , this ain't America. The architecture is very uninspiring. The built-quality and attention to detail is non-existent. Lights so off occasionally, Sometimes you see a build of a building that's CLEARLY not straight, leveled and/or squared. It's as if things a built and cut by eyeball, not by measuring tape. Bathroom doors with no knobs, showers with no curtain, toilets with no seats. Buildings a painted once ad maybe never repainted again. Erosion here in Kumasi is unworldly. Rill and gully erosion in urban settings. My goodness.

Is there opportunities to make money? Yes. Good restaurant(s) seems to do well since customer service and fresh hot food is a privilege here, not a right. If there's one hing Ghanaians didn't take form their former colonial masters was their business plans/model and acumen. Trust me when I tell you this. Ghana hasn' poential but not as progressive as people make it out to be. This ain't SA.
