The Original "Crossroads" is Classic just like the "Remix" was. Also if you had the original "E. 1999" then the new Crossroads wasn't on there, just this version. The famous version was only added to reprints of "E.1999" and it was on the single of course. It was a "One more Chance" situation like Biggie where the Remix took off the original isn't as well remembered. But I love the original it was dope as hell. But there is no way it's better than the remix cause the remix just touched so many souls and lives around the world. It one of Hip Hop best singles ever. Also the original version is just called "Crossroad" thus the remix adding the "S" at the end. With that said anyone who likes the original, I'm not mad at them cause that's how I was introduced to the song. But the only reason Mariah Carey's "Breakdown" was a hit was cause it used the same Crossroad remix sample and bone killed it:

:mjlol:Lol at these fools claiming the OG was better than Tha remix. The Remix is An absolute masterpiece and haunting record

Been listening to Bone Thugs since a kid and I've always thought "Tha Crossroads" was better than "Crossroads" but over time I feel like they are equal. I don't feel like the remix is haunting at all it has more of a positive/peacful/come to terms type of vibe. The original on the other hand is pretty haunting. The beat is very solemn and dark as they rap 4 different accounts of one of their closest friends dying.

They all tell the story differently. Krayzie Bone is kind of rapping about him in 3rd person, Wish Bone is rapping about senseless gun violence (alluding to Wally being killed by someone they all actually knew and saying they should've threw hands instead of shooting), Layzie Bone Talks to Wally directly and Bizzy Bone verse recalls the chain of events of how he and people around him reacted when they got the news.

The remix is a name drop fiasco with a ton of melodic quotables... nothing wrong with that because they lost alot of people in a short period of time so it is what it is. They decided they would pay homage to everyone in one shot. Idk if "Tha Crossroads" gets made if Eazy E didn't die. Even though all of their other friends still died it may have been expressed differently and more than likely wouldn't have been a single if they somehow managed to make the same song without Eazys name in it

And I know the remix holds such a special place in alot of peoples hearts as well.
