meh...my brother in law is a soon to be a partner in the consulting group of a big 4 accounting firm. Pretty sure he'll be making 300,500K a year once he reaches that point. And he's only 37 years old.
he started from the bottom too. Got his MBA and then grinded from working as a general accountant for fortune 500 companies for peanuts before getting in consulting. I'm rooting for him and hoping to follow a similar path if this side project i'm working on don't pan out (i work at a big 4 firm too). It's not impossible...just gotta grind and be a bit lucky
Yep, save enough money to the point that where you can live an upper middle class lifestyle off your savings alone, and investments etc. be your play money.

what i'm telling you is people are getting priced the hell out of L.A. thats how bad it is. their $$ is not matching these rents. its insane right now. even people with good paying jobs are sweating.
white folks moving to the hood. you know why? they cant afford the west side. thats why. so thats moving the blacks/broke latins out. cause when white folks come in, the everything goes up. the value goes up. when minorities are present(blacks/latins) value drops. since we dont have the $$$ usually white people do.

^^thats not millions of dollars bruhs. thats similar to what you make working for someone. with no benefits. and guess what. no vacation time. until you can afford to hire enough people to take care of your business for you(takes years). its you running it from sun up til sun down. you ever go to a burger spot or taco stand and wonder when do these people take off if they're always open for me to eat there? the answer is NEVER.
people think you work less when you work for yourself. nope. you work harder and longer hours especially in the first year or so. anyone telling you any different is a da... lie.

Do you now see how farfetched it is to aim for a million and end up going crazy when you realize you wont make it? then give up on every thing else. because you had this foolish mindset.
i'll say it again. you can always dream. dream big. dream huge. but work in reality. never stop dreaming but never stop working in reality. that doesnt mean dont try new stuff. it means be honest with whats going on around you. how most people get to a million or more. then ask yourself do you want to do those things to get that million? do you have what it takes to get that million (the right mix of skills, savvy, and people you know.)
