I have two good friends who taught abroad, she is lying her ass off. None of them said they were struggling but they weren't pulling over 200k in teaching ESL or anything like that.
yes, its called international swirling and sponsorship.Teaching abroad makes decent money to live well in the local country, but not considering interest she needed to be banking 30k per year to pull this off.
Now if she taught regular school and then cram school after school (very common in Asia) and cram school on the weekends and worked for some of the top schools and then lived like a native and not an expat, then yes, she may have pulled it off with EXTREME discipline and saving.
But I agree with @Hard Times Nakamura unless she was on a pampered expat package for skilled labor you don't pull in that much cash.
Maybe she has a special skills like math that can command more money than the teaching English crowd?
yes, its called international swirling and sponsorship.
Two other things: if she had a car and condo and had no intention of returning, she may have liquidated those to pay off part of the debts. She could have even defaulted on some of the non-student loans and got them discharged in bankruptcy to lower the overall burden. Granted this destroys your credit but if you aren't coming back![]()
but she was living in some guy's house. sending all the money back for the loans
to introduce the sponsor to the familyAnother thing is why the fukk did she come back?
