life is a series of demographics. when youre young, your music preference was predicted on something cheap because you have a lack of funds. as you get older, youre supposed to be on your own, throwing away the past musical acts because it should no longer fit your lifestyle. when your kids come of that age when they are starting to show their independence, you want safe music around you because you know children are easily influenced. as your kids get older youre torn between their angst and the music of your time that was supposed to be rebellious. rap/hiphop is the voice of disenfranchised/marginalized
