I need help writing a letter

To make a long story short
I interviewed for a construction job and asked $25 an hour to start because of my experience
They said they could start me at $20 doing the 1099 thing for the first job site
They also said that the $20 is just the number on paper because I'll be getting between 50-100 an hour because they mostly do special (prevailing) jobs and that's how much those jobs pay
3 months later, site is finished and they call me in to fill out w4's, no problem
2 days later the person who interviewed me calls me saying that the special job is over and I'm going back to $15 and that I was only getting $20 because it was a special job
We went back and forth for a minute but nothin came from it
I want to write a letter to the owner but don't know exactly how to do it

The owner is going to back up his people, who are paid to get the most work out of people like you for the least amount of money. He won't do anything. You will come out better just going to the department of labor and I don't even think there is anything they can do.

No one owes you anything in this world. Let this be motivation for you to get out and start your own construction business...that's the only way you will ever have your own way. It will not happen working for someone else.

Understandable...try networking. If I were you I would write the owner a letter, but I would ask him to be a MENTOR....not complain about how his business is run.

I am a chemist and pharmacist. I work 4 days a week 10 hours a day. On top of this I have a newborn daughter and husband.

I'm in the process of getting MY company off the ground and guess what? I have a mentor who is a chemist. He is a multimillionaire who develops products from soy beans. This man has offered me the opportunity to get on and I'm taking it.

The business I started and the work I'm doing now are totally unrelated. The only issue I have with my company is the marketing and advertising. I just started a new plan a week ago and I'm hoping it pays off. I just need the phone to ring.
