Fam, ghost writer means the work is credited to another person.
If you're doing interviews and saying that people wrote this and that, there's nothing about that that says "ghost writer". Kanye was saying he wrote joints that he didn't. That's a totally different situation. Dre doesn't go around claiming to write joints that someone else did.
No.
A lot of people take the phrase "Ghost written" as meaning it's credited to a person
who didn't write it.
Hence the use of GHOST before written.
The person who wrote it isn't seen, they aren't viewed
as being apart of the project.
It's used the same as "Ghost produced" or "Ghost producer".
Dr. Dre gave credit to Jay-Z.
Yes, he didn't write the verse but he didn't
attempt to hide anything or claim he DID write it.
As for Kanye he's BEEN writing his verses.
I doubt he needs to bring in Rhymefest to help
him write lyrics in the same style he has written in
for the past decade.
I wouldn't be surprised however if he consulted
them while constructing his concept and deciding the
the direction of the song.
A lot of Hip Hop fans don't get that because they're
used to seeing Hip Hop as just a producer and a rapper.
Not an army of engineers, musicians, co-producers and co-song writers.
