Well One : Christianity was force on to slaves by slaves owners and foreigners who saw Africans as "savages "(Or as they say a lesser race) use the bible as a weapon to make them forgot the gods that Africans prayed to. Two : For those who grew up in a black (or white) churches, we started to see the preacher use Christianity as a way to make profit and power instead of help heal people and bring together communities, I mean just about every sunday or any other day I hear about a preacher saying he got a new car and/or be a plane to fly him to meet some other preacher or for some trip. Three: We living in a time where we see people use this as a weapon towards little kids, women of color, LGBT people and political control plus more.

I acknowledge the possibility of higher power but I can do without the bullshyt of organized religion. It's just another tool that's used to control the masses.
I don't think that's a bad thing all of the time. Some people need that to help or make them do the right thing.

Look at how bad things are now that lots of people are turning away from it.

& I really don't understand why people are saying religion/christianity was forced on African Americans. I'm pretty sure Africans in Africa had/have their own religion and a god/gods that they believe in as well. So, that's no excuse. Almost all religions believe in at least one God.

I know if I didn't believe there was a God I wouldn't play by anyone's rules. I would strictly follow my desires. I can't even begin to imagine the shyt I would do. I don't understand people that don't believe in God or a next life yet they follow man made laws and act in a way so society can consider them ''normal''. :mjpls:

C'mon :dahell:

A lot of black men are closet atheists/agnostics because they know it's a dealbreaker for a lot of black women.
This I usually dont talk about it around black people in general the times I have it has been a dealbreaker or they cant handle it.

....
Anyone can say i BELIEVE in God, but not BELIEVE one word that's coming out of their own mouth..... and why exactly is this a black men thing :what:.... I personally don't BELIEVE anything, there are things i know, and things i don't know....and things i probably cannot even begin to fathom.......just live your life as a loving, righteous human being and be done with it. Cause i'm pretty sure just using that little word BELIEVE won't be the determining factor of whether you go to Heaven or cast down to Hell. :yeshrug:
Belief is shown in doing ... those who practice loving and practice being righteous are the ones who believe.

not a religious man, a christian one

well as a christian, there are guidelines when it comes to dating. the most important one is being equally yoked bc that sets the foundation of how the relationship will run. I am not saying ppl who aren't christians don't have successful relationships but since I identify as one, that's what Im gonna follow.
As far as the relationship crumbling, I mean failures are a part of life and everything happens for a reason. Just have to learn from your mistakes.

Most black women that claim what you claim are full of shyt
