As a black man you never start with a clean slate as a human being, you always start as the black guy then comes your features and accolades but the white guy is identifed by their features and accolades primarily. Think about the last time you were in a social gathering with whites, when you walked away would they refer to you as the lawyer, artist, student or black guy first then those things?
