Logically speaking, anybody making under $150k should be splitting bills. Hell, I'd go as far as to say $200k. It makes sense because that's how you build wealth.

If you are making less that $150k and paying 100% you are losing out on good investments.

Logic is what wins in this world. A couple combining incomes always beats 1 income. You lose out on real estate, 401k, Roth Ira, stocks, and other high interest savings account.

I aint raising no soft ass mamas boy over here, especially considering my son isn't even 5 yet and is already over 4 feet tall. Most people are barely getting by and living paycheck to paycheck. The 50/50 argument is an online and hypothetic argument. All things being equal most reasonable people will rather share the bills with someone else.

Marriage is a financial tool men and women used to improve their credit, double their income, and build savings. A lot of working to middle class white people understand this. A lot of black people in the south understand this. But for whatever reason the dominant sentiment you get on social media is that black women shouldn't marry until they're 40 and accomplished with a six figure job and three degrees. Meanwhile white women are getting nursing degrees, marrying accountants straight outta college, and winning the economic game lol.

And while white guys are finding the most tolerable 6-7/10 chick to marry and raise their kids, black men are impregnating multiple women and staying stagnant in every way (mentally, financially, job wise, etc). This is not sustainable. We can't just point at black women and say they're the losers. We're the losers too. Time has essentially run out...

Marriage is not a priority among black people it's getting worse according to that graph. I will argue that we as a group need marriage more than any other group for the economic benefits, and its much easier to raise children with two parents.

Increase in education does increase the odds of being married, while I don't have data to support this, this group group of men and women probably participate in IR relationships and marriages at a much higher rate than their less educated counterpart.
