SMB3 lands.. has a movie to promote it before hand. Pinnacle of gaming at that time
I just remember gaming being at an all-time high right around that moment in gaming history

Super Mario World hits. Wasn't as much of a radical chance as the previous mario games
But it introduced Yoshi. Game is 1/2nd best Mario game at the time still. It was like Uncharted 3 if the campaign wasn't as weak as it was

Super Mario 64 hits, and its a fukkin 3D version of the previous games

Super mario Sunshine. Some liked it, the majority hated it. It was the first mario game that didn't have me hooked. In fact, I was young in the "world" at this time so I didn't really spend enough time with this

The Last Mario game looks fantastic. I would like to play it. But I am too afraid to spend the $400 it would cost to buy the Wii-U and that Mario game to "find out" if the game is REALLY worth the investment

How is SMG any more tedious than SM64?!? I had a lot more fun 100%ing the galaxy series than SM64. Much more variation in the levels IMO.

Super Mario 64 wasn't tedious at all story wise. Trying to get all 120 stars is what was hard. The game itself was a masterpiece. No 3D platformer before or after is better. TEDIOUS? Never heard anyone ever say something like that about the goat

Both are 10s in my book. I think 100% wise galaxy was a little harder, but I could be wrong because I have beat that one more recently. Better question: What, in your opinion, made galaxy overrated??
