A single yatch cost millions of dollars yearly to operate/maintain
some billionaires own multiple yatch, ditto private jets. And that just one of the many examples of rich people spending lavishly on things that depreciate in value.

So the point is, billionaires spend just as lavishly as the pretenders or keeping up with the jones's type but the only difference is the former can afford it

Someone has $100,000 income and they spend $5000 on clothes.. that's 5 percent of income. They have $200,000 and spend $10000 that's 5 percent. Zuck buys a yacht ... that's a drop in a bucket.

whether the rich can afford to splurge is completely irrelevant here. humans ahve been splurging since the begining of time and it has nothing to do with their social class
