There is no one in today's league who is as good as Michael Jordan, so you saying arguably sounds like you don't like him or something
Bron and kd are on par
Mj is the goat but Kareem and bron are just as good if not better

And here's @CHICAGO saying that Durant would only average 27 back then.So you pick a playoff series against a team that had a DPOY center and one of the best perimeter defenders of all timeand at 25 KD still averaged 29 and 9
Kd would destroy anything moving in the 80’s and 90’s him and me would be trading scoring titles
Defense wasn’t tougher, D didn’t get really physical and slow until the mid 90’s you’ll always talk about isiah Thomas averaging 30 but seem to forget that 5’9 160 lbs Michael adams averaged 26
LMAO I CAN TELL YOU NEVER PLAYED BALL.MJ's FG% most probably wouldn't be anywhere near 50, because naturally, he'd be shooting more 3-pointers (thus dropping his FG%, which as I mentioned earlier isn't the best measurement of efficiency), and against better defenses.

Shoot them better than 38%?LMAO I CAN TELL YOU NEVER PLAYED BALL.
IF MJ TOOK 6 THREES A GAME
HE WOULD SHOOT THEM BETTER.

And yet it's still better than the defenses of the 80s. Go figure.
nikkaS KEEP TALKING ABOUT DEFENSES
LIKE CURRY, BRON, KD, HARDEN ETC
DONT RUN THE PICK AND ROLL
AND WIND UP WITH A MISMATCH
DAMN NEAR EVERY POSITION.
You mean in the same sense that it would be hilarious for Durant to play in a pre-zone NBA, where he would be free to go 1v1 against players who were either too short, too slow or both to stop him? How long do you think it'd take defenses to actually guard Durant when he'd pull-up from behind the arc on every possession?
JORDAN PLAYING IN THIS CURRENT LEAGUE
WITH BIGS TRYING TO SWITCH OUT ON HIM
WOULD BE HILARIOUS.

What do you think Jordan could average in the league today, and what do you think Durant could average during the late 80s/early 90s?
This should be interesting.

We take Durant as he is now, with all the knowledge, developmental framework, training/conditioning/diet, skillset/ability etc. And please, stop overrating the physicality of that era, we don't need to keep going through those footprints in the sand.Does Durant take the same mindset into the 80s shooting threes and is he not moved to power forward where he has to get beat up
Day in and day out for what....6 years now?nikkas dont get tired of this?
everyone has an opinion![]()

HE SHOT 39%
DENVER RAN A GIMMICK OFFENSE,
THAT SEASON,
WERE THE WORSE TEAM IN THE NBA.
NUMBER 1 SCORING TEAM IN THE LEAGUE
AND GOT OUTSCORED BY 11PTS A GAME.
THE EPITOME OF PADDING STATS ON A GARBAGE TEAM.
MEAN WHILE I.T. HAD THE NUMBER 1 SEED
AND MADE THE ECF.
fukk outta hereDay in and day out for what....6 years now?
Just to add something different to Coliseum discussion

In general (on a competitive playoff team, with a star #2, #2 in perimeter defensive duties etc), I'd estimate around 30-33 ppg. His approach to the game would be different because of coaching, improvement in defensive schemes/defenders, improvement in offensive schemes/offensive players, landscape, and the natural evolution of the game.
If we're talking best case scenario where he gets to put up as many shots as he wants, on a lottery team, on high minutes, it'd be around 35-37 ppg. Similar to what Durant, Curry and LeBron could average if they were put in the same position.
russ averaged 31.6 while averaging triple double
do you really think MJ only averages 30-33
and 5ft 8 midget playing for a contending team averaged 29 a game.
MJ will get to the line, do whatever he wants with the ball and just be the freak of nature himself. MJ DON'T GET TIRED breh. you are underestimating how soft this league really is. there's nothing that can stop MJ to get to the line. nothing.
