Was there, too. Bounced and never looked back. fukk what society expects from you and prestige from certain education levels and careers, your mental health comes first.
My 2nd job while I was in High School was like that. Had no car, public transportation access was almost non existent (working on weekends), taxi fare was expensive, and the work was confusing and hard when no one trained you and had to "figure it out for yourself" when it paid only $1.50 above minimum wage. Did that for 5 grueling months, quit, and never went back the next year when they were asking me to do MORE hours and had no access to get there. Found another job, and my pay went wayyyyy up, easier to access to by public transportation, and very flexible hours.
