Sony was legitimately in danger of going bankrupt, Microsoft however is not only doing fine, the Xbox brand itself is doing record numbers in terms of company sales. Only internet fanboys acting like Xbox losing bread out here. And Xbox live is doing 3x as much business as PSN is so... Scorpio about to drop and crackdown 3 with cloud computing lands this year. VR next spring, let's put the pom poms down and see what happens...
Of course there really wasn't anything in 2006, the console came out in November, while the 360 had a year head start, coming out in November of 2005.
PS3 Exclusives from 2007-2008
MSG4, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavenly Sword. Games sold pretty well too.
And you really reaching with some of the 360 games, no one was hying games like The Last Remnant or Banjo Kazooie especially with them middling reviews and sales.
In fact, PS3 exclusives sold more than 360 exclusives in 2008.
Yeah microsoft always goes before sony, always but I dont really see why that matters in fact that in plays a part into what I'm saying.
The Ps3 launched at 499 and 599 and people STILL bought it and played it off the strength of what was to come however sony wasn't in a dominating position like it was before with xbox being cheaper and dropping games. Everything you listed was crazy over rated outside of VC. MGS4 was easily the worst metal gear, but people still would come in and buy a more expensive system talking about they just waiting to the good games come out. TLR an BK are actually pretty big cult classics. Kind of like VC same with condemned/condemned 2
Exclusives wasn't the only reason to have a 360, where as it pretty much was for the ps3. The xbox 360 ran multi plat games better and usually they were developed on it and ported over to the ps3.
But people still bought the ps3 for there one or two big titles. Sony was hurting as compared to how they had the market on LOCK with the ps2
Fast forward to today and people wont spend 299 on switch because it won't have any games until next year...

Real talk Sony did it for the culture with that one. The fat models even though they had the yellow light of death to me is the best PS3 version. Backwards Compatibility with PS1/PS2 - You pretty much had the playstation trilogy right there. .
