Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
I'd like to see how some of these people that make these type of memes look.

A lot of these people that pick at black men who like to dress flashy come off as nerds with self esteem issues. Nerds that still get flash backs of when they were bullied in high school for their clothes. At the core that's what it's about with a lot of them.

I dress flashy and I get at some of them to since I have to see them daily for work and help with their finances.

I at least appreciate them coming in and speaking to me because they realize they have spending habits.

You can still dress good and not waste money. It’s about being disciplined and budgeting your money and also knowing where to do.

I don’t support the “looking bummy” look at all.

And those Khaki shorts probably cost $100 plus. Dressing plane doesn't equal dressing cheap. Someone is keeping those stores like Brooks brothers, anthropolgie, ann taylor in the like in business.

Those $100 dollar shorts end up being cheap if that person wears it for 5 years straight without replacing it.

Yeah, it implies that poor people are all out wasting money on stupid shyt. A lot of poor people would love to touch $359 and they're damn sure not buying Gucci with it.

The meme is definitely corny, but there’s truth to it.
Barring race, poor people in general have a problem with living above their means.
I know people to this day living in worn down houses, but are always decked out in Gucci etc..

Let's say poor people are really out here buying expensive shyt. Who cares? Let them have the few joys they will have in life. No amount of saving is going to make them rich. Saving doesn't make you rich. Income makes you rich.

Rich people stay buying expensive luxury shyt. But there's a difference. The expensive high end clothes rich wasps wear often doesn't have tacky logos all over it. You see, Gucci, Versace and Balenciaga were able to tap into the urban market by tapping into the sneaker culture popularizing tacky heavily branded shoes and clothes that most old money wasps and rich folks would never wear. Rich folks don't need to advertise to the world that they are wearing Gucci or Versace.:leostare: Even the more expensive Ralph Lauren (I.e. Purple Label) is distinguished by a lack of logos whereas the ghetto Polo you can find at Macy's covered with big logos. But the quality of $5k Italian leather jacket or a $3k camel hair topcoat with no logos speaks for itself. And if you are savvy you can be wavy without a ole lot of money. And I get compliments on my gear daily *humblebrag*. I come up on designer and all types of limited kicks all the time at the thrift and spend next to nothing because a lot of material shyt we value really has no real value. :jbhmm:Designer shyt loses like half its value or more once you pop the tags, some of that shyt damn near worthless after you wear it even once. Hypebeast kicks that resell for a stack cost less than $5 to make by slaves in China. :mjtf:

And black folks and other minorities spend hella bread on clothes and kicks because we are devalued everyday living in a white supremacist society. White folks, in general, don't need to flex with clothes because society acts like white flesh is fresh enough. :skip: Which is why even white hypebeasts and rich white folks still manage to look swagless 99% of the time. I got swag and cacs be lowkey jealous they can't make clothes look as fly as us. Saying we look like pimps and drug dealers. Nah bytch, I ain't a criminal and don't aspire to be one. Can't nikkas have fun with anything in life? I ain't trying to dress like the principal from Saved by The Bell everyday just to gain cac respect. fukk that. :pacspit:
