This is NOT my experience whatsoever. Literally every con/expo I've ever been to its been fairly even. Also, understand that basically every gaming/anime scene is dominated by white men outside of the FGC. Its attrition not preference.

When cons are in black areas that I've seen...black cosplayers usually rock with OTHER black cosplayers.

Its also like most things. nikkas are quick to talk shyt about anything that isn't the usual tropes of black men, so many black males don't participate. Literally every black female cosplayer I've ever talked to has said they wish more brothers were into it.
