I recently came to the realization that I am angrier about sexism than I am about racism.

I love her. It's true. Often times black males will downplay things that we go through as women and white broads will downplay things we go through as Blacks.

Sexism does bother me more than racism.

I've only been called a nigg*r to my face ONCE.

I've been called a bytch or a ho by nikkas that didn't even know me plenty of times.

:yeshrug:Sistas on our own
you such a fat piece of shyt:wow:

Discrimination and sexism don't have to be inclusive.

I can be a man and be discriminated against without it being because I'm a man. I could be discriminated against for being Black.

But it often can be.

And Ya'll seem to forget Black women also face the burden of being both Black and Female.

So there is no burden in being a male...

This is a stupid argument. As if individuals of a race holding elected positions somehow equates to power or privilege for the specific demographic that they belong to. Obama being president for 8 years didn't equate to any power or privilege for all black men. There are more blacks in elected positions than other non white props but those doesn't equate to our community having as much power. No, you don't see Asians in elected positions but that doesn't negate the fact that Asians are more privileged in this soicety.

When we talk about racism/white supremacy we aren't talking about the power or privilege of individuals who happen to be white, we are talking about systematic advantages that ensure power/privilege for all people classified as white over those classified non white.

You just want me to accept what you're saying just because you're saying it, without question. I'm not accepting you saying that black men have this power/privilege over non white women just because you're saying it. You haven't made a valid argument supporting that because you can't. You need someone smarter to even spew a better brand of bullshyt. The prison industrial complex in and of itself is a level of discrimination that no race of woman comes close to dealing with. That's modern day slavery. You should check out this book that a black woman wrote on it newjimcrow.com | The New Jim Crow

The prison industrial complex in and of itself is a level of discrimination that no race of woman comes close to dealing with.

:heh: So that's the crux of your argument. Nobody has it worse than Black men, so everybody should shut the fukk up about their "perceived" slights and injustices. It took me a while to figure out what you were trying to get at but. Uh well it doesn't quite work that way chief.

it's sad when you think about it.

shyt be should be self-explanatory.

with exorbiant modern access to information, no black person should be so stubborn and dumb of their reality.

Killed him.

@BelowTheMasonDixon is just a stubborn simp.

If he was a real feminist he'd realize it's more feminist to treat women as equals capable of being more privileged than men, than to proclaim that every single race of women are these eternal victims of sexism..

This is why ya'll can't be taken serious. I'm defending BLACK WOMEN, but I'm a simp? I ain't say marry a chick with multiple kids. I ain't say Black women can't be wrong. I ain't say black women don't benefit from the welfare system. I ain't say Black women/or women in general are queens of the earth. I ain't say NONE OF THAT shyt. but I'm a simp. aight.

ALL I SAID WAS SEXISM AGAINST WOMEN IS REAL.

Where it's hotter & wetter
Black men in North America have been observed to be subject to a "school-to-prison-pipeline" starting as early as primary school

Black women in North America are more highly represented at EVERY level of academia

aren't black women equally subject to the same "school-to-prison-pipeline" as black men are?. Or is that a lie?
It is an ASSUMPTION, one you are making based on your preconceived notion of how this works. But in reality:

suspension.jpg

And before you go on your sexist/racist screed about how Black boys are engaging in more disruptive activity which is why they're punished more, digest this:

Since the landmark case Brown versus The Board of Education in 1954, alongside mass bussing to integrate schools, Black children have been primarily educated by women–White women in particular. Much of the time, such teachers fear and don’t understand the very Black children they are slated to teach. This is referred to as unconscious bias. For example, the film Cracking the Code explores this (scroll to 2:08):

These White female teachers also tend to privilege styles of learning that reflect how girls are socialized: be quite, work quietly in groups, raise your hand before speaking, be nice, no touching, sit still, etc. Children who can code-switch and acculturate themselves to this style of learning are lauded as intelligent and tend to move up well. Boys, on the other hand, are notorious for tactile learning styles (as evidenced in contact sports and military environments): work with your hands, be energetic, touch things, interact, move, make noise, compete, work in groups that compete, etc. Such styles are more consistent with how boys learn early to sacrifice for others, protect, and provide.

In other words, such learning styles demonstrate the various ways boys are socialized. Yet now these styles have been all but criminalized in the eyes of the school system, and the rates of disciplined and expelled boys have gone through the roof across the racial spectrum. Also, there have been “new” learning disabilities associated with each element of the learning styles more accustomed to boys. To state what should be obvious, of course, there are boys and girls that are more attuned to either learning style as these are not wholly limited to biology, but there are over-arching trends in behavior. Whether it’s nature, where our kids are born gendered, or nurture where they’re socialized in gendered ways (or both); it is usually well ensconced before school begins. However, the punishment for acting out one’s gendered socialization is disproportionately apportioned to Black males, and this means that these issues are raced, classed, AND gendered for Black male youth in a most extreme fashion.

For Black male toddlers and boys, some statements from teachers might be:

  1. “he misbehaves more than anyone else in the class.”
  2. “he needs alternative ‘special’ education” (despite good grades, participation, and good class performance).
  3. “I have to spend too much time disciplining him” (but he’s doing the same thing other kids do but with far less punishment).
  4. “he’s too disruptive,” (but “other” kids that act out may be “gifted” and “just aren’t being challenged to their potential.” At one point, my own son was being punished for raising his hand and “over-participating,” despite that he never strayed from the topic at hand!)

Two, Black men are also highly represented at EVERY level of academia as well, or are you suggesting we are all failures? Are you intellectually honest enough to admit that Black Men have reached or exceeded every office or title held by Black women as well?
It's okay to be ignorant, that just means you lack knowledge, which is true of all of us at first.
But being WILLFULLY-IGNORANT is inexcusable in the days of broadband internet and Google.
READ and try to UNDERSTAND:
According to the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) in a recent report (special thanks to Dr. Tommy Curry), there are approximately 47,651 Black male professors in Title IV universities, and 70,375 Black females. There are 616,805 White women and 664,518 White men. And if current high school, college, and graduate school graduation rates are any indication, the rates of the Black male professoriate will continue to decline in comparison to other racial and gendered demographics in the academy… But further declinations are due to false accusations of being a racial and gendered threat, which people comfortably assume must be Black males’ fault, but few consider to be an assault on his character, a popular form of professional lynching, and a form of racial-sexism against him. That said, Black males need to start addressing these issues more forthrightly on legal grounds, and set precedent about how they demand to be treated.

Are you saying that rape doesn't occur in women's prisons???

Anyway, Women are also more likely to be sexually abused by men. And according to NEWSONE 60% of Black girls have experienced some form of sexual assault.

:yeshrug: But apparently, men are more affected by "Sexism" than women.
I'm saying the rape of women in prison isn't treated as a joke or some kind of added punishment for being in jail.
I'm saying, thanks to sexists like you, the majority of cases where men are raped by women NEVER get recognized.
I'm saying there is no recognition of the fact, that since women are the primary caregivers, they are also the primary abusers of male children.
Breh, you're sexist against other men and you don't even realize it.
That's because much of it is instinctual and playing off millenia of evolutionary programming.
But my gawd, wake up and smell the bullshyt.

Here, Dr. Tommy Curry explains exactly what you're going through in this thread.

Shoutout to @CharlieManson for putting me on.

It's really crazy watching a Black male argue against his own plight as a Black male and argue that Black males have some type of privliege when all sectors of American society tries to forcibly remove the Black male from everyday life.

Gynocracy plus racialized sexism denies Black males a primacy.

There is really nothing like what Black males in the USA and Latin American go thru, where an entire society is trying to remove you.

Like Black males are really being snatched off the streets and shyt. Black boys are being killed by the police. Black males are in a permanent depression. Black males are missing from society.

If a nikka reallt wanna fukk up his day, look at the death rates, prison population, poverty rates and unemployment rates for Black males in the USA. Try to find the same for Brazil.

If you are a Black male, you are an endangered member of the world.

I didn't say "Defending women is sexist".
I said: YOU ASSUMING that women need your defense is sexist and patronizing.
You can't view anyone as equals who you believe are dependent on you for their defense.
That kind of thinking exposes that you DON'T believe women have any agency of their own.
They're just damsels in distress to you, waiting for your heroic salvation. :shaq2:
Like I said, you're claiming we're obfuscating sexism & racism, but in reality, you're just married to a narrative that isn't true.

You're the one claiming Black men have some kind of privilege over Black women because of sexism.
But when we look empirically, at how people's lives are being affected: Black women in North America are more highly represented at EVERY level of academia, earn more degrees, go on to secure more professorships, are more represented in the white-collar labor market, have a social safety-net via welfare, leverage family courts to get child-support from their mates, and so on and so forth.
Meanwhile, Black men in North America have been observed to be subject to a "school-to-prison-pipeline" starting as early as primary school, are over-represented in the prison-industrial complex, are subject to sexist racial profiling in the job market, have no social safety-net hence the HIGH incidence of Black male homelessness, are victims of violent sexual abuse within the prison-industrial complex, are far more likely to be the victim of a violent physical assault or murder, and so on and so forth.

I'll ask you the same question you asked me: Do those FACTS not matter? :aicmon:
How about this, why don't you TELL me what this privilege is that Black men supposedly wield over Black women (and all other non-CAC women)?
I'll be looking forward to the
full
and :duck: in your reply.

Edit: And the very first response from @InDePickWest is that of a biracial Canadian. Nevermind that Canadians aren't as openly vitriolic with their -Cism as AmeriCACs, her own father is a White man, and half her family is CACs as well. It's not surprising she thinks her being personally insulted [probably deservedly so judging from her posts on here] is a bigger issue than White Supremacy.
It's pathetic you actually felt the need to put on your :cape:cape and co-sign that bullshyt. :rudy:
Biracial Canadian?

That means my whole point is invalid, huh?

I swear y'all act like Canada and America ain't right next to each other.

I swear y'all think we overseas or something

Pretty much. :coffee:

Is that not it? he had this huge rant about this this and this. and wrote off sexism against women. I mean i get that black men are at the bottom rung of society, I get the racial bias behind it. but he basically summed it up like "well my problems >>> your problems" so your problems don't matter. and that's just not how it should work.

Fam one wrong doesn't make a right. I can dig it. The black male is the most oppressed person on the planet. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to sympathize/empathize with anyone else having issues. ESPECIALLY if you expect someone to empathize/sympathize with you.

No argument, just gifs:francis: This kinda anti-intellectualism and willful stupidity is a big reason trump is president.

why would i argue a ridiculous point?

saying "black males are one of the biggest victims of sexism" is like saying "white men are one of the biggest victims of racism"

it's hilarious:pachaha:

these denials everytime black women point out sexism isn't going to make it go away. that they would rather deal with racism than sexism should tell you just how big of an issue it really is.

you could continue to deny it the same way that white people deny racism, but it isn't going to stop them from feeling how they feel and making dating choices based on those experiences
