If you're gonna string all that empty meandering and blabbering over a sloppy beat, why not just write a book, blog, or start a podcast?

If you wanna educate people, just do live poetry or something.

Don't call that mess music, cause its not even entertainment at that point.

I mean Immortal has tracks that I can fukk with maybe once in a blue moon. I get my information on my own terms and not from rap artists... It's cool to hear a 2pac preach emotion, but Immortal be taking you on lessons and shyt, yelling at you

I think his music can be entertaining and listened to. But you have to listen to him in moderation because trying to use big words/always making political rap gets annoying.

I like a lot of the beats he uses though - especially on Vol 2. I agree that he does sometimes have stuff that's too noisy though.

Ill agree with this but point out that the threadstarter is trying to down play the song something fierce in the same way. It is an above average song.

He is an artist and he chooses this style of art to express himself. If you've ever seen him live (and anyone from LA can vouch that people love his sets at Rock The Bells / Paid Dues) youll see how much more effective it is to be on a stage using your voice than it is to type something up.

I actually think he's a bit overrated as a lyricist but makes good songs. Dance with the Devil, Peruvian Cocaine, Obnoxious, Black Vikings, Goonies never Die, Crimes of the Heart, Land of the Gun are all good songs that I play regularly.

Op couldn't be more wrong. I listen to nothing but hip hop and IT is an emcee I still check for. He's dope on the mic regardless of the content. He's not for everyone And rap isn't all about ignorant lyrics and imagery. There Are deeper themes and genres as we all should know.
