You're not serious with this nonsense are you?
:manny:

I mean, I'll remember the 'shot' he hit, but I'll also remember that block Bron made, and the play leading up to it.

I just don't see all the good a player does, yes Kyrie's shot was amazing, and absolutely stunned everybody, but he still had some bonehead plays late in that game that easily could have cost them the title as well.

It is what it is.

You co-sign him going coast to coast after Steph missed that 3 with 25 seconds left in the game too?

This forum over the past few days is proof of two things

1. A lot of basketball fans only focus on scoring

2. A championship ring greatly elevates the aura of a player.

You're speaking like EVERY single top PG in the game doesn't do 'boneheaded' shyt late in-games; as if they make sound decisions every time down the stretch. I mean if we were to nitpick plays like this - we wouldn't have any PGs to rank. CP and Westbrook have had their fair share of rockbrain plays during the playoffs/late in-games that have indirectly and directly cost their team for the last two to three+ years now.

Why are we all of a sudden ignoring him hitting turnaround jumpers over Klay in Game 5, and dropping 25 in the first half to set the tone for Game 6? He was finishing over Draymond and drawing and ones. Didn't have a good shooting performance in Game 7 but he hit the shot to ice the championship. So Lebron made an all time defensive play before that and its supposed to erase what Kyrie did to make a title possible? TEAM SPORT

All this drip on me
Anyone with actual bball knowledge about the game knows that every PG in this new golden age of playmaking and dynamic game-changing guards makes their share of boneheaded plays. Harping on a few bad plays from the top guards, is foolish especially if they are on winning teams and consistently make more positive plays than negative. It's the reason why I laugh at Westbrook, Curry, Irving and Wall haters like they wouldn't take any of them on their teams.

FWIW if you think Lillard could've pulled off some of the things Kyrie did in the Finals, if you traded their places you're wrong.

Dame Lillard shot 41% from the field this year and has never shot over 43% from the field in a season, Kyrie finishes exponentially better than Dame in the paint(compare their 2pt FG % in paint) and has the best layup package from the guard position in the NBA. His critical left and right hand finishes through the contact against Draymond Green(one of the best defenders in the NBA) trying to lock him up when he's was on the attack in game 7, is something that only maybe 2-3 other guards in the NBA may have been able to do.

And I haven't even brought up the fact that he has the best handle in the game, and that alone separates what he can do on the court when guarded by bigger, more athletic, elite physical defenders compared to someone like Dame(or most of the NBA guards yall are saying could've switched places and did what Kyrie did against the Warriors consistently and during crunch time).

Ask LeBron(or Kevin Durant who said Kyrie should've been Co-MVP) of their opinion of Kyrie. If the two best overall basketball players in the world, thinks you're an elite PG then arguing against that is dumb af and your bball knowledge lookin kinda funny in the light.
