- stop consuming media that overuses it

- stop hanging around people who overuse it

- stop overusing it
This.

I've never used it around my elders or any other race when I was younger for some reason.

My moms hated that word. I remember it like it was yesterday . I said it in her presence once she hit me with the :wtb:, never said it again. Dad didn't care, but was like:hubie:. So I guess it was how I was raised.

Havent called anyone n word for years.

I just swap in "My brother" for most situations when I'm just addressing people on some chill shyt.

Ain't gonna lie, in certain social situations I can't help it, mostly in good company best enhanced with alcohol/Weed. Working on it.

Growing up me and my brothers never used it, just cause we wasn't raised using it by our folks. Outside of quoting lyrics, it just sounded unnatural for me to use it, and forced. Not really sensitive to other brehs using the word but overuse always made me give the :mjpls: to em as ignorant or tryhard. Funny that I would find myself throwin it out in convo with my dude from outta state when we hyped tho it still felt forced.

I've only ever liked hearing it in a positive light (if there is a thing), hearing it on the end of an insult just compounds the insult in my head. I can't help but to picture them Cac music producers grinning when they reading/approving lyrics like "never hesitate to put a n on his back" for example, while at the same time they'll censor "get money like hebrews" which really has no negative connotation. Often times I find some these lyrics sound more appropriate out their mouths. I think in any context you use it, it was said 1st to or about my ancestors by their Cac oppressors, especially "my nikkas". That makes me avoid it, that's theres

Lines that make the KKK :banderas:

The majority of black people want nothing to do with that word and don't even say it. If it wasn't for rap, the word wouldn't be heard nearly as much as it is. It would probably die out if not for Hip hop

I use it, but not that much. Every now and then, not gonna lie, nikka does have a ring to it.

I'm Nigerian so we (my and my Nigerian friends) have many terms that could substitute

-Oga
-Chairman
-Bros "pronounced "brawse"
-Bad guy/man :dame:
-Bossman
-Seniorman

etc

For my Black/African American guys I usually use
-Bruh
-Boy
-Youngboi

etc

You got it backwards. Black people stopping saying that word on a large scale would signify an increase in racial pride and self-esteem via gaining knowledge of self & past history. The "change" would be a mental one first amongst black people.

The question is, what change will this newfound racial pride/mentality amongst blacks bring about?:jbhmm:

Get out of here. If we all stopped using the N word, racism would still exist. Unemployment and incarceration would still be high. The use or non use of a world is never going trump actual progress. If I'm looking to partner with someone and start a business, I don't care if they use the N word or not. It just doesn't matter at the end of the day. There is no direct correlation between those that don't use the N word and overall success. It's just a word at the end of the day.
