If you don't know that you must maintain possession of the ball as you fall to the ground, you don't know the rules. They call that on offensive players all the time. Hell, there's two gif'd examples in this thread!

He had possession, he had control. He pulled the ball in while having it firmly held in both hands.

You don't get it because you don't want to get it. Dude had possession,tucked it,landed on his back while it was tucked, got ruled incomplete.
