y'all still call old people with no title or rank in your life mr. and ms.

that shyt went out the window early when I discovered how little age could mean in relation to maturity
This. Too many grown ass, old ass people walking around with no sense, decency, or self respect for me to call you Mr/Ms when you ain't nobody to me.

Those titles are earned and will be almost completely absent by the end of next generation.

Only folks that still get that treatment are the ones I grew up under or was introduced as that. I done seen even some of them people do shiesty shyt. Call me mr, then we can trade titles

For me if I knew you when I was a kid I'm probably still calling you Miss or Mr.

Like when I go home and go to church with moms, all the old ladies at church I known since I was a kid are still Ms. to me.

If I meet you now, as an adult, though? :childplease: Nah I'm cool on that, for the most part...

There ARE age-based exceptions. For whatever reason with people at a certain age it still triggers in my mind to immediately call them Mr or Mrs. Like its an older lady neighbor of mine across the street, she's widowed and my girl and I go over there sometimes to bring her some food or help do stuff around the yard. She's probably in her 80s, I've only known her for a couple years, but shes always been Miss Angela to me... :yeshrug:

Gang violence...
if they carry themselves like a ms, then i probably naturally would say it. if i know you are ratchet, im going to probably be casual.

that being said, once somebody requests that kind of language, i probably would comply if i will have continued interactions with them.

After my parent's divorce, I'm glad my Dad didn't get super weird after he started dating.

At most, I got cornrows because the woman he was dating wanted to braid my fro...it was a horrible job :yeshrug: But I started rocking braids afterwards

Kinda formal for an actual step parent. But either way. She moved like an a$$hole instead of just addressing it with him and being transparent so there would be no animosity. She obviously didn’t establish that with him in the first place. And I’m a person who uses “Ms.” for my elders.

This.

I'm not against addressing elders as Mr. Or Mrs. or whatever but "you're not my equal" is super out of pocket.

On the other hand, he's corny for even bringing this to the internet.
Whole situation is a mess.:francis:

well, now his dad told him to call her Mrs.
so if he wants to keep talking to them he has to address them, use the Mrs. title or he'll lose the relationship

That's what I mean, fukk that bytch now. I tried to give you my love and you wanted to use that opportunity to step on me. Grieve alone, bytch :camby:
