Good, society can unweird itself if people have to interact in person again.

It can be a great thing but also have some downsides. Social media is also how people can make a (real) story go viral that the main stream media or powers that be would rather cover up. That’s something every day people couldn’t do in the past. We had to completely depend on main stream journalism for the most part. The Ahmad Aubry case might have gotten swept under the rug 30 years ago.

When AI becomes indistinguishable from reality it will be easier for real crimes, abuses of power and atrocities to be brushed off as AI. And at that point everything will be questioned for it’s authenticity whether it’s social media or main stream media. Our only hope is that there will always be something that can determine if a video is real or AI. Once that can’t be determined, we’re cooked.

My girl showed me a profile picture of her friends mom.... then an actual picture of her friends mom, and she was 30 years younger and 60 pounds lighter in her new profile picture

There's a woman i used to work with that ONLY posts AI pictures of herself, I saw her in person last year and got visibly upset, she's like 5'1 200+lbs now, like a whole Thanksgiving turkey, she used to be like 115 AFTER having a kid. I think she might've seen the look on my face because she curved me years ago when she was smaller and now it ain't no way

If u go to facebook now they have this image creator for AI and i see all these 40-50 year old women creating AI versions of themselves which turns that 190 pounds to 130 pounds and their body looking like they was in their 20s…

I’ve been around since MySpace and AIM.

Social media at least the heyday has been dead since Covid. Or at least since the social warriors movement in trumps first term.

Nowadays there’s to many hacker crackers, weirdos, fake news and women incells that people should be very careful about what they post on social media.

Most people who grew up from that era have careers, families etc. if you 30+ still posting on social media like your 21, you’re probably suffering from a midlife crises.

Tbh in 5-10 years y’all probably see a reemergence of Facebook with a lot of female incells in there late 30s early 40s.
