It can be a great thing but also have some downsides. Social media is also how people can make a (real) story go viral that the main stream media or powers that be would rather cover up. That’s something every day people couldn’t do in the past. We had to completely depend on main stream journalism for the most part. The Ahmad Aubry case might have gotten swept under the rug 30 years ago.

When AI becomes indistinguishable from reality it will be easier for real crimes, abuses of power and atrocities to be brushed off as AI. And at that point everything will be questioned for it’s authenticity whether it’s social media or main stream media. Our only hope is that there will always be something that can determine if a video is real or AI. Once that can’t be determined, we’re cooked.

now you're seeing different women with very similar pictures , due to all of them using the same prompt.

if it wasn't due to the similarity in these pics , It would have tricked me.

I mean, just like catfishing, y’all playing around on these apps need to focus on getting to a face to face meetup ASAP or cut your losses early. Not sure how AI makes this any different. If you can’t at least get a video/FaceTime call going in 1-2 weeks, move on

It’s not just social media. Everyone web developer and software creator is trying to add/incorporate AI into their system which is annoying.

They are literally the reason electricity bills are skyrocketing.

And AI prompts like Chat GTP use the web to get info. But more and more content is being written using the same AI.
