Fab is the poor man’s version of Ma$e and Jay-Z combined

This right here.

Clue had him on the first album, back when he was "Fabolous Sport", and they played "If They Want It" on the radio and the people were calling in saying he sounded like a "wack Mase". HAHA! He would just take people's styles and cadence and try to make it his own. He's always been like that. When the south started popping, he tried to run with what they were doing too. But dude is snoozefest of a rapper. Not wack, but just there and wild generic.

That’s alright, 🤷🏽‍♂️. I’m sure wayyyyyyy more rap fans think Nas is better than Fab…probably Fab himself as well. That’s really the only way to gauge an opinion-based thing like art, by consensus.

Consensus is a bad way to gauge too because no one takes into account how fukking stupid the demo is, lol, a bunch of idiots probably prefer idiot shhit over non-idiotic shhit. Ask Trump. Wish we could somehow require the people whose opinions/votes/whatever are being measured and given merit to pass some sort of intelligence test…or test their knowledge on what they’re giving their opinion on at least, etc… type shhit. But I digress..

But yeah…Probably 3-4 out of every 100 rap fans would rank Fab over Nas…and they’re probably tri-state females and young BK nigs. 🤷🏽‍♂️. Fab is nice, always been nice, Nas is “TBE” status tho, he’s in that conversation. Weird pairing

When his first album dropped I remember he was heavily hated online because he was like the most generic New York rapper imaginable. Album had the clearance bin Neptunes and Timbaland beats actually from them, then a bunch of weak imitations.

He has some nice bars here and there and is tolerable, but never met anyone in person that gave him much thought either way. Must be a tri-state thing :pachaha:

Yeah, I remember Clue saying that the Neptunes and Timbaland were raping Fab's budget on the first album. Charging like $150K and $200K a beat back then. HAHA! But they were giving dude tracks that sounded like throwaways. Even his album reviews said he sounded like a clone of Jay and Mase.

When he dropped, the ads for his album had the producer names more prominently than his! That was when they were trying to promote based on production, more than who the rapper was, lol. I've just never been able to f*ck with dude's music like that. I tried though. For years!

Roc-A-Fella spent millions trying to craft and buy hits for them artists and Nas weed carriers ended up having a bigger hit than any of em. Don't hold any weight for me but it is comedy.

If by "spent millions" to buy hits you mean call Jay and get him to do a feature,Im sure he took a little out of the budget:mjlol:

If by spending millions to craft hits, you mean investing in upcoming producer talent like Just Blaze,Kanye. Investing in talented emcees like Beans instead of bodygaurds in order to give your label credibility. Yes,thats how you create a label that had talents like Beans,State Prop,Dipset with a talented megastar like Kanye(pre Kim/Nazi)

But if youd rather spend your money on an assortment of QB chains. Yes,you too can run an always profitable label like Ill Will Records with touted stars like Jungle and Millennium Thug. Cant be in the red if you spend nothing and hire people who will rap for free:wow:

Is there really a difference between a throwaway Neptunes/Timbaland beat and a hit Neptune/Timbaland beat:scust:? One goes directly into the trash, while the other bounces off the rim while you screaming "Kobe",thinking you did something:mjlol:
