And I know people keep bringing this up but they need to stop making the refs go into stupid mode when someone is trying to cash in.

Feels like HHH was the most competent referee to ever cash in a MITB briefcase. If they want to make it interesting, have the next few cash-ins happen during gimmick matches. Two guys laid out at TLC and someone cashes in and climbs the ladder to win or two opponents get stuck on their backs during an LMS match and the MITB winner cashes in.

Would've been dope to have someone cash in during the announcements of the title being vacated. Champ on crutches giving a tearful speech and BAM!

If there was one change they could consider, it'd be to make it eligible for EVERY title under the WWE umbrella, including the NXT title.

its corny, why does the briefcase have to be colored, why are all the cash in at ppv's after a match, why don't they ever cash in on a random raw when nothing else is going on? Like during those you know the champ is going to win feuds, have the MITB holder cash in mid feud and make the ppv a triple threat or four way just once

There have actually been a bunch on tv so not all of them are on ppv at all .

Nah MITB was and still is one of the dopest concepts in wrestling. Stop tripping off of one cash in, nobody was saying this before Survivor Series The only times the cashins felt lackluster, predictable, or unwanted was when Del Rio, Cena, and now Sheamus did it. The rest of the cashins were fire

And it may actually get reigns over as people hate shameus in a way that they didn't hate Rollins

what they need to do is have someone win it and either get injured/take them off TV for like a few months and have them randomly pop up in a raw or PPV for a surprise cash in

The problem with not cashing it in at a moment when the champ is tired and practically laid out is the guy cashing in would look a fukking idiot if he didn't wait for that moment, making, as OP said, the whole thing redundant.

honestly it was Ass when Bryan had it too. He got the typical mitb holder booking of floating around aimlessly losing mad matches and even ran out pinned Big Show after he a match with Henry. Things didn't turn around until he got the title and became a heel.

I know. It was original he did it DURING The Main Event of Wrestlemania he attacked both guys it was awesome and the crowd in the arena and watching at home ate it up. It hadn't been done before. No one had ever inserted themselves into a match itself. They always do the lame attack the the man after the match strategy. Which hasn't been exciting since Punk did it to Jeff hardy that was like 2009.

The Bryan one was different because it seemed like it was leading to Henry vs Bryan. Bryan said he was gonna use the MITB case to cash in at WM 28 and go for the title str8 up. Creative flipped it and turned him heel after Big Show finally beat Mark Henry. And that's when Bryan started carrying Smackdown every week with that slick heel character who was kind of bullying the big boys...Henry and Show. LOL. Then AJ got in the mix and it just got hotter than the company thought it could be possible since it was on the "LESSER" show, if you will.

I don't get why they feel the need to make everything an annual event... MITB works once in a while when there's space in a PPV for a big midcard ladder match... HITC works once in a while when there's a massive feud involving at least one unhinged wrestler... TLC worked three times because of a very particular set of competitors and conditions.

They saddle themselves with using the same gimmicks every year and wonder why the product feels stale. Give us an angle or character that demands a new match... less time reminiscing over a time when characters like the Undertaker spawned casket matches and HITC matches and more Wyatt Family Barn Brawls... or something... I'm not a fukking writer.

Cena didnt actually get beat clean for his cash in so it doesnt count. When Sandow who should have been riding a momentum wave, lost to Cena it killed the entire purpose of the briefcase. To make a new star.

Edge really changed the game with his cash in. From there it seemed like people were trying to pattern their cash ins like him. Rollins waa cool, but for the most part it's been predictable.

Honestly they should just get rid of it or actually get creative with it, but we all know the creative isn't really creative.
