My personal issue is who holds it. The reason why Rollins worked so well as MITB was because he spent a ton of time getting built into a credible, albeit chickensh!t threat (yes, it's doable). A lot of times, the briefcase holder purposely gets jobbed out so you can get caught slipping (i.e. "Oh shyt I forgot this dude had this!"). Whoever wins MITB ought to be an upstart who could benefit from being built up into something.
THE KEY IS TO BUILD THE HOLDER UP. The idea should be to make the holder look like at some point, he could potentially take the champion straight up if it came to it, even if it likely won't. Established nikkas like Sheamus, Orton and such are nice and all, but they don't need a storyline element to warrant a title match. Give the case to someone who could use it and thrive with it.. Hell, Edge was on his way in the singles world but this cat became a hall of famer by parlaying MITB cash-ins into the M.O. of his entire character. You can't ask for the holder not to cash-in when the champ is weak, that's hustling backwards.
But at the same time, there's no point of trying to catch us by surprise. If you gave the nikka the case, we know that chances are, he's going to be champ. Might as well build him up for the moment. I'm with
@Beautiful Bobby Eatin. The moment Sandow lost to Cena was the day the case died. Mizdow era aside, Damien hasn't been the same since.
Also, the only reason people don't want Reigns to win is because the WWE has already communicated that he's going to be the guy and there ain't a damn thing that can be done about it. That's it. It isn't about like or dislike, and the dude has made ridiculous strides in 2015. People just don't like being dictated to, makes their voice not matter and then people get all

over it (see: Bryan, Daniel).
