My personal issue is who holds it. The reason why Rollins worked so well as MITB was because he spent a ton of time getting built into a credible, albeit chickensh!t threat (yes, it's doable). A lot of times, the briefcase holder purposely gets jobbed out so you can get caught slipping (i.e. "Oh shyt I forgot this dude had this!"). Whoever wins MITB ought to be an upstart who could benefit from being built up into something. THE KEY IS TO BUILD THE HOLDER UP. The idea should be to make the holder look like at some point, he could potentially take the champion straight up if it came to it, even if it likely won't. Established nikkas like Sheamus, Orton and such are nice and all, but they don't need a storyline element to warrant a title match. Give the case to someone who could use it and thrive with it.. Hell, Edge was on his way in the singles world but this cat became a hall of famer by parlaying MITB cash-ins into the M.O. of his entire character. You can't ask for the holder not to cash-in when the champ is weak, that's hustling backwards.

But at the same time, there's no point of trying to catch us by surprise. If you gave the nikka the case, we know that chances are, he's going to be champ. Might as well build him up for the moment. I'm with @Beautiful Bobby Eatin. The moment Sandow lost to Cena was the day the case died. Mizdow era aside, Damien hasn't been the same since.

Also, the only reason people don't want Reigns to win is because the WWE has already communicated that he's going to be the guy and there ain't a damn thing that can be done about it. That's it. It isn't about like or dislike, and the dude has made ridiculous strides in 2015. People just don't like being dictated to, makes their voice not matter and then people get all :wtf: :camby: over it (see: Bryan, Daniel).

Hitting the music for run-ins should never have stuck in the first place... are we really supposed to believe that whoever just hit critical mass and pushed their way through Gorilla quietly stopped by the AV room on the way to make sure they were ready for the 'surprise'?

Someone read this before booking Raw this week apparently. KO and Reigns with no-music run-ins.

:ehh:

They're learning.

Good read, but building the holder is the key and in many ways. Guys who need a jump start or guys needing establishment should win the briefcase and treat as a legit accomplishment. Between the Case and KOTR, idk which is losing it's luster more steadily. Once the upstart wins, they should be allowed to establish themselves against good mid-card talent and begin main-eventing Raw like they are important. This creates a natural chase feud with the champ. If the Case holder isn't a threat, it will be hard for them to be taken seriously no matter the circumstance.

WWE has to do more for the guy with the Case than the Case itself.

no they just need to do different things with it

let people defend it...let it change hands...let them keep it for longer than a year...let them choose which title(s) they can cash it in with...put it on a babyface...stop trying to use it to get some midcard heel over...stop making people carry it everywhere like a goof. Stop calling the person who won it "Mr Money In The Bank" everytime they're on the TV screen...that shyts corny as fukk. Give it to someone whose got some fresh ideas of what to do with it. Why is it a briefcase anyways...change that shyt too...put the contract in a manila envelope...a backpack...a bank...who gives a fukk.

basically, could be used in so many better ways, but then again, this is wwe (un)creative we have been dealing with here for a few years.

yeah no crap, i think its run its course like the 24/7 hardcore title rule
Facts I am just waiting for someone to pin someone in a hotel room.

I think the idea of them having to defend the briefcase is the best way to go. Its so predictable what the person is going to do with it at this point

The way its been used has cheapens title wins and thus cheapen the title itself.

Change the way it works.
