Big L doesn't have a clear cut classic either.

Beans and Lupe both have at least 1 album with greater impact and quality than L's.

The B.Coming and Food & Liquor/The Cool.
Yeah - like I said, it wasn't supposed to be a direct comparison between the Beans and L, just explaining why Beans is underrated.
I need to revisit the B Coming and the Cool again. I revisited F&L recently and it wasn't as good as I remembered. And I thought Lupe had next in 06 :mjcry:

Big L to me displayed top 10 talent when he was alive I don't care about catalogue. It also pisses me off when people say he's only a punchline rapper when he's one of the most underrated storytellers ever.
Yep. I went and posted like ten songs when somebody in one of these earlier threads tried to claim that he was just a punchline rapper :russ:

F&L still sounds fresh to me. Leak and retail version :ahh: As does The B.Coming :ohlawd:

You won't like The Cool tho. It doesn't follow a traditional hip hop sound all the way through. A good mix of alternative style production on it, it's sorta like a later OutKast album in that aspect.

I remember not liking the Cool as much as F&L in real time, but still thinking it was one of the best hip hop albums of 2007.
I remember the B Coming being a sleeper album for me in 2005. I kept going back to it. The production on that album :wow:

I don't understand who can see this list, vote for Nas but not Pac, Big and Jay or vice versa, unless of course you're a corny ass Nas stan.
