Quantify what harm he did relative to information people needed to know.
go get the classifed report the pentagon put out in january.

Our intelligence operations will continue in multiple forms relatively undettered. But, educating a population, a fraction of whom will join the NSA and organizations like it, that every move we make covertly in the name of national defense are not always sound for the larger public, in fact quite the contrary.

I disagree.

The international community does not deserve to know what the USA wants to or aims to do.

We can handle domestic issues separately.

He blew the whistle on key information the Government was either lying about or hiding. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

As a human and as a citizen, I have as much right as anyone to know what the fukk is going on with my country. Oh and please spare me with the whole, "you should have known" bullshyt. Should we have already known that gravity was on this earth without theorising it? Should we have just known that the big hot thing in the air is the sun and is responsible for life on this planet?

Stop insulting our intelligence, there's a difference between conspiracy theories and concrete evidence. The worst thing is you're not even disgusted with your Government for doing what they did, spying on you and lying about where US tax payers money is going. You're upset with the guy who exposed them.

:stopitslime:Man it's people like you who are part of the problem.

yes:troll:

On SOMETHINGS, sure. Everything? No. Ya'll take yourselves too seriously.

The average citizen is not qualified to make decisions about how to run a country, nor would I trust knowing that my ignorant neighbors had that knowledge.

I'm an elitist and unrepentently so in this regard.

I didn't say you had to be OK with it, but you shuold have known. This is your fault if you were unaware.

Again you're missing the goddamn point.

The question is not about domestic spying. NO ONE IS OK WITH THAT.

THE QUESTION IS ABOUT SNOWDEN EXPOSING CLASSIFIED INFORMATION ABOUT USA ACTIVITY OVERSEAS...

Homie you're doing that textbook pretend your winning by laughing thing right now.

What do you want addressed? Why do I have to address something when you won't give a real world example of who Snowden hurt?
Its already documented who and what snowden hurt.

Read my posts in this thread. I've posted links, and references.

You can keep skpping them if you want.

I'm not pulling names like: "CIA Analyst Mary Smith (REAL NAME) born September 18th, 1975 was pulled out of undercover duty in Moscow on July 28th at 15:00 GMT after posing as a business consultant of a major US international firm because of Snowden's leaks that connected her to efforts to gain intel in the FSB offices" :heh:

Don't be fukking stupid.

Dumbass. I made that up.

The government is NOT going to reveal info like that for obvious reasons:

1. it puts agents at risk
2. it prevents agents from going back undercover
3. It hurts the replacement agents ability to conduct further intel since others are already looking to prevent that sort of intrusion.

Look, a few weeks ago the white house accidentally leaked the name of the CIA station chief in pakistan...and they had to pull that dude out. Like INSTANTLY.

Now imagine if ANY agent can be linked to this shyt that has been revealed by manning or snowden. That shyt HURTS.

I just looked for said document. I found 12 pages of mostly blanked out information and various Washington and military officials speculating on the amount of data he potentially stole in an obvious move to save face.

If he did indeed did take 1.7 million files, I'm quite sure the government can quantify the level of secrecy and operational damage he may have exposed and put in place the appropriate conuntermeasures to mitigate any serious damage. Snowden isn't Jack Bauer/Ryan/Kennedy and he didn't fall in with AL Qaida or North Korea.

So again imma ask what did he expose that will really put the USA at a long term disadvantage relative to information people needed to know.

Neither party will be honest...all you need to know is the US intelligence industrial complex will move forward...UNDETTERED.

Japan, but from the 989
The fact that he is still alive and talking lets you know he doesn't know anything of importance. He is just a self righteous cac who thought he would be heralded as a hero for what he did. Have fun in Russia. He can't come back here.

Lets just play dumb now. Cause thats where it seems we are.

I guess he just stole 1.7 million documents containing nothing more than cafeteria schedule plans for US bases and the pentagon :stopitslime:

We're there yep...no one confirmed what he stole from what I ascertained.

Of course they are going to inflate and misconstrue what he took, in an obvious attempt to defame him and as a disincentive towards others from doing the same shyt...

Thats community college marketing and management 101.

I don't trust the government to be any more honest in that regard than what they shared about their various known and unknown surveillance programs.

Let's get even dumber...do you really think he had unfettered access to every and all files regarding all operations domestic and abroad...

I work for a company that makes food...I don't even have access to everything...and the shyt I have access to people can see what, where and when I accessed it...and anything truly sensitive...they can remotely lock or delete it.
