Like someone said, the internet allows people to reveal their true thoughts on certain matters. I bet your friends don't share with you what they really think or how they feel.

People in life (not on the internet) don different masks for different situations. If they are with their folks, they are one way, and with their friends or a loved one, they are another way.
Most people aren't ever truly themselves because of the fear of being judged negatively by their peer group and the probability of being ostracized.

But I do agree with the OP that the net can be quite damaging to one's perception on reality and self. You do need to detoxify yourself from it.

But, to address your main point, I don't think people are losers necessarily and those quotes aren't indicative of a loser's mindset. People are just weird in a more interesting way, at least to me.

And neither side is really the good influence (especially the former). They are gonna fukk up your perception of things. I'd go as far as to say that you should be careful about getting advice from people on some of those websites, and instead get advice from friends in real life. I feel like the internet has made people not try to improve themselves - it's instead become some sort of substitute/safe-haven, which I feel isn't good in the long-term.

Well I guess I must be a loser because I'm anti-social to a degree (until I get to know ppl), Idgaf about politics but I like doing "nerd" shyt. About trying too hard to be nice on the internet I just can't get off in being rude to ppl be it irl/online for just any random ass reason. I treat people like they treat me.

You do have a point about getting misleading advice from ppl off the internet but again logic/common sense should come into play before taking advice from anyone. Hell, you can still get bad advice from family/friends in everyday life so that shyt is 50/50 to me.

People are responsible for not trying to improve themselves. As easy as it is to log on to this site or any other it should be very easy to log off and handle your business.

I don't feel like the internet is making men BECOME losers. I feel like the internet is almost a comfort zone for losers. Because of the internet, it makes it harder for guys to actually come out of their comfort zone. Dudes that are still going out and having a social life are


To me, that's the real reason why less and less people are getting into relationships. The internet has become a comfort zone for a lot of losers out here, and makes it harder for them to come out of their shell, resulting in less dudes being out here for women to choose from. Then the dudes that actually get out there are so successful, there really is no point in them settling down for the most part.

Then you end up running into a lot of women that use social media for attention, and don't ask you to do much. It's so much easier to be casual with a chick these days.

I feel like it's growing. I'm seeing an increasingly large number of black men falling into the MGTOW reddit trap.

Nah it’s not growing

It’s just that those type of men discovered internet that gave them exposure which didn’t exist years ago. Nothing has changed.
