I thought cte would at least curtail participation in youth leagues by now but I don't think that's the case at all; participation still seems up and the NFL is still as popular as ever. The NFL did a great job of sweeping that cte shyt under the rug, and a lot parents are either unaware of or don't really care about any potential head trauma their child may incur.

I don ever see a day where the nba is more loved than the nfl.

basketball is a more popular global sport than the NFL. the NFL dominates stateside. but these things always happen in cycles. there will eventually come a day when football is no longer #1 in terms of ratings.

It seems like basketball generates more interest with younger people and on social media than football does, but it seems like the NBA can't figure out how to turn that interest into viewership quite just yet. Once the NBA figures that out though they'll have a shot of taking the #1 spot from the NFL.

I think the biggest issue is the NFL still owns a day of the week and I dont see that ever changing. NBA watching is very casual and that has its advantages, but centering football around a day that most people have off is hard to beat
