NFL is just a better product than the NBA. 16 game season means every game counts, like the playoffs all year. More sense of urgency in every play.
People also saying once black QBs take over the viewership will go down. I doubt that. NFL used to be majority white athletes. Now it's almost 80% black and it's never been more popular. Brady/Rodgers are the last great white QBs and Maholmes and Lamar are taking over and the league isn't going to skip a beat. The most bankable athlete sponsors use for white consumers is Lebron. Brady or Rodgers can't even touch him in that regard. SEC teams have black QBs and racist whites still watch.
