he makes a good point.

the thing is tho NFL is only on TV for like 20 weeks out of the year. The NBA is on TV like 40 weeks out of the year. The NFL has to squeeze every dime outta that 20 weeks.

I used to hate it 15 years ago when there was like 1 monday night game, and all the other games were on sunday. At max, every week I could only watch 3 NFL games (i never watch the first game on sundays...shyt came on at like 10am). the format now allows me to see more games and more exciting matchups.

I wouldn't be mad if they got rid of Monday night football and switched it to Friday night. Had Sunday ticket and only wanted it for Redzone channel. They're screwing their own product especially with that channel. I still believe that when that tv money bubble burst, they will go to a ppv option and that's when folks will say the hell with this

cant broadcast games on friday night

Why do people get mad when there are games on Thursdays? :wtf: If you don't want to see it, don't watch it. And isn't the NBA on like 5 out of 7 days a week?

Because, the NFL is bogarting it's way into spaces that it never needed to be in..... all for the sake of people buying the NFL package with their cable provider.

That is a good point, but I also think the rule changes will eventually hurt them. They will keep fukking with the game until they go too far and they'll be no return.

I'll say it now like I said then ..Roger Goddell is the worse thing that has happened to the league..The only thing he cares about is the bottom dollar, and while he's on this money chase he's diluting the product. This game thats being played today is nothing like it was just a decade ago..

One of the biggest problems with Thursday Night Football is that it's going to start making weekend/Monday games less enticing. There was a time when MNF was an event. But over the last few years SNF has had better matches imo, by a mile. So far TNF has been broadcasting games I really couldn't care less about, but with the CBS deal I'd imagine they're going to have to pull in some big teams/players to really capitalize on things. They'll be weakening the appeal of SNF/MNF by increasing the amount of trash games they get.

I'd be fine with like, one Thursday game a month. Every Thursday is overkill.
