People have been saying this for 10 years.

Nothing and I literally mean nothing will stop the NFL dominance.

Why make it a stay at home event? nikkas hit bars on Friday's. Guess what sport is perfect for bars?
A majority of TV viewers watch at home

And Friday night is not the night you get advertisers to spend money around you product

I hate when people say things like this.

I mean, in life in general, everything has an expiration date. I bet people thought that the world would ALWAYS want to see gladiators fighting lions too lol.

Im old enough to remember Myspace over Facebook, or getting laughed at if you owned an Apple computer.

Everything has an expiration date. Always remember that in life. Boxing ruled america before our time, and then Baseball, College FB (which was WAY more popular than NFL) then NBA. Now NFL. But dont be shortsighted.

Something has to over take you for that expiration transaction to begin

Nike has not been at the top for years on end as well because there is nothing to over take them

. The fact that they are doing or involved in many of the same things that has toppled other giants (displaying blatant arrogance, oversaturation, moving away from core values, scandal) doesn't bode well from them. I wouldn't say an implosion is imminent as much as I would say a decline is. Nothing lasts forever and the NFL is not immune.

ok.....but they're slowly removing all emotion & violence from the game in an ridiculous way. And this is not entirely true anyway, b/c if it was, UFC would be America's league/sport of choice. Hell, boxing would still be king if that was true
:dwillhuh: did you not watch the NFL this past season where nikkas were getting knocked out practically every game?

UFC is kinda like an "anything goes" sport. ANd by the 4-5th round niccas are dead tired, barely moving and shyt. not a lot of people want to watch nikkas get choked out :manny:

Cuban never thinks anything out of his lane will work. He and Eddie Gossage like to talk like this. It may happen, but its not because he said so. He used to be all about innovation and trying different things, but now he's just old and conservative like every other owner. Dude was too worried about keeping these mediocre teams relevant to take a chance and go after another title.
yea remember what he said about Youtube??

The only thing that can stop the NFL is the demise of the white QB....Other than that the league is bullet proof....
Why you think the NFL only protects stationary Qbs? :mjpls:

He mad.

Football is simply those most enjoyable sport to watch. Every single play matters, because there's a definite beginning, middle and end, and even if there's not a score, there's a GOAL, a mark that must be reached: 10 yards. So, you're always building toward something until you reach the ultimate goal and it happens just infrequently enough elicit joy, whereas in basketball, you got bammas scoring every 30 seconds or so on average. That's why a lotta people say they only watch the last 5 minutes of NBA games. It's also why some people cannot watch baseball or soccer or hockey, because the scoring is too infrequent and most people don't care about the nuances of those games.

One thing is for certain. The owners will be losing money within the next 10 years. Or at least when the new CBA comes up 7 years from now..

The reason it wont is the reason its so popular in the first place GAMBLING if you couldnt gamble on football its popularity would plummet drastically but as long as you can gamble on it then it will continue to be hugely popular reagrdless of how bad the product currently is and how evil and fukked up the powers that be in that league are or the fact its players cant stay out of the police blotter

People who think that spreading NFL games throughout the week, adding more games, and playoff spots won't have a negative affect on NFL have no idea of whats made the NFL the most popular league. What makes the NFL popularity exceptional is the once a week aspect of the sport.

1. Because its once a week, it makes every game must see
2. Because its once a week, the games have lively crowd resposnes which plays well on television
2. Because its once a week you can follow the entire league in one day
3. Because it once a week you can play and set up social gatherings for game days
4. Because its once a week it makes it a convenient sport to gamble on
5. Because its once a week its the most convenient fantasy sport experience

You may love football and want to see more of it throughout the week but the once a week aspect of the sport is the source of where its popularity stems from.
