Only in hip-hop could Kanye West be considered a seasoned veteran. Paul McMartney been doing it since 1957 and he's relevant and sells. Kanye's first album came out in 2004 lol.

I didn't consider other genres that much honestly? I looked into it, the highest sellin album of 2013 did 2 mill which was Justin TImberlake that's not much better than hip hop, music in general is fukked in sales Lady gaga apparently did really bad last year.

yeah, but other genres have more albums that sell 1 to 2 mill, 500k + etc.

I see this on the rock/pop side of things (ironically enough from a site where I get the bulk of my music) but music is disposable now, artists just need to make better stuff and that will sell.
